AVALELE STREET DECK is inspired by traditional Tarot Decks along with contemporary Era. It is a modern and experimental deck that encourages you to find new meanings and stimulates your imagination. Artworks are expressive and playful collages of my original paintings and photographs. Deck consists of a paper box and 78 cards (300gsm smooth laminated finished card stock paper), Major and Minor Arcana, where Swords are replaced by Blades and Wands by Matches. Trumphs, Coins and Cups have been left in the classic way. There is VIII Justice and XI Strength instead of contrary order. As a contemporary artist and Tarot digger, I decided to create an unique modern deck, that reflects both the Tradition and the Today.
There were two dimensions printed: One with pocket size dimensions (63.5mm x 88.9mm, 2.5" x 3.5") and special edition deck with large size dimensions (89mm x 146mm, 3.5" x 5.75") to enhance the reading experience. Small sized decks are meant to fit into every pocket, to travel with you and to be read in the streets or wherever you are.
The last remaining pieces of small sized decks are still available to buy. I am not planning to re-print this tarot and so this item will soon become a collectible.
